The Gullfoss Waterfall is also known as Golden Waterfall, which is situated in the upper-part of River Hvitia. The view of cascading water down from 22-meter high gives brilliant view. The canyon which got created at the end of Ice-Age by Catastrophic flood waves gets lengthened by 25cm each year by constant erosion. Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attraction located in Iceland. Many speculations arise about using Gullfoss to generate electricity. The Water from Waterfall was also rented indirectly, Tomas Tomasson and Halldor Halldorsson were the foreign investors. Lack of money made the investor’s attempt unsuccessful.
